FIRST MASSAGE CHICAGO

Change is here! First Massage Chicago is here! Beginning in May 2010, FMC will be featured around the Chicago land area. What is First Massage Chicago? FMC is my way of giving back to others. FMC will be featured usually once a month in a different location where I will be helping clients with two hours of chair massage. The special part is that it's FREE. Or as I like to call it, no-fee. I will be doing two hours of work at no charge to the public. I will not accept tips either, so don't try it.

For more information please check out First Massage Chicago on facebook, become a fan and learn all the details! I made it easy, just click on the First Massage Chicago logo on the left under Suggested Reading.

Tell your friends and family because I may be in their neighborhood soon.

Let's Grow

According to the Department of Labour between 2006-2016 massage is expected to grow 20 percent. I think that massage will grow more than 20 percent over the next 10 years. Along with other forms of alternative medicine and the fitness industry which expects a 27 percent increase, massage will be one of the top fields to be in. I see the trends that many are taking in control of their lives and wellness and I don't see it slowly down any time soon.
Massage will grow in the medical field not only with medical massage but also in hospitals, nursing homes, hospice, etc. An increase in on the job massage(chair massage) will continue. Chair massage is great for desk stress, inactivity and poor concentration on the job to name a few. If you can really help people in a shorter time period you will be a life saver to hundreds of people. Believe me!

Another field related to massage is Teacher/Instructor. As the times are changing, this industry needs forward thinking instructors and forward thinking schools with vision. Like the majority of our public schools throughout the USA which have not changed the curriculum for over 60 years, we can't fall into that same rut. Schools must not just see the 20 percent job growth as a way to make money on their students but give them a 110 percent education that will help them grow which will help the industry grow. Most schools control their curriculum so a knowledge of the current client needs have to be studied and serviced for future growth.
